The above data is a compilation from ongoing reviews by the Suffolk County Water Authority's summaries of the test results for "The Bridge."
< = less than
"L" stands for Lysimeter - (devices to collect infiltrating water that are placed a few feet below the ground surface that provide an indication of contamination that has advanced beyond the root zone, and, therefore, presents a threat to groundwater.)
"G" stands for "Greens"
"F" stands for "Fairway"
*LG14-3 = Lysimeter number 14 in "Greens" at 3 foot depth
**LG14-6 = Lysimeter number 14 in "Greens" at 6 foot depth
***LF1-3 = Lysimeter number 1 in "Fairway" at 3 foot depth
****LG4-6 = Lysimeter number 4 in "Green" at 6 foot depth
***** < 0.1 = No detection of nitrate
NOTE: The Developer's turf consultant's report stated that: "No pesticides or pesticide metabolites are expected to impact groundwater at the application rates listed in the reasonable worst case pest infestation scenario..." Despite the claim and the expectation that no chemicals would impact the groundwater, three of the chemicals: paclobutrazol, triadimenol, and propiconazole (isomer a) have been documented to have impacted groundwater quality and others have been detected in lysimeters. Therefore, it can be said that the consultant's predictive computer groundwater modeling did not prevent the impacts to groundwater quality.
